NURSES STAND FOR NURSES

We have seen the extent to which some nursing leaders will not stop to “prove the ego of seniority” just to remain relevant to themselves.
They would use other professionals to even ridicule the image and integrity of this Profession. Just as no one is bigger than the Profession, we must come together than before to be our own help. We are launching a 1 million naira support for the two nurses who have been victimised for doing absolutely nothing other standing their ground for the common sanity of the Profession and against years of nursing intimidation and slavery in Nigeria.
These said senior nurses did not stop until this reckless stage to prove a point even at the detriment of the profession by going too far, we should not stop now while these things slip off out hands. They suffered a nurse, ensured his salary was witheld, suffered his newborn to starvation through this salary.
They jumped on the other nurse, a Principal Nursing Officer for speaking out. They went as far as making sure they were errand girls for management to ensure that these people were nabbed. They almost harrassed a Principal Nursing Officer with security men on duty! How did a nursing interview to discuss intimidation and other things in OOUTH leak out to the management? They created a crack for the CMD (the only person allowed to use black biro in the hospital) to toy with our Profession.
They have created a shame for this profession. They have gone too far to damage the reputation of this Profession. They feel happy for dealing with these two but we are not going to just look at these things for fun.

It’s time for us all to act.

We are raising a million naira (at least) campaign for these two. With just “500 naira at least” from 2000 people, we can achieve this. Do yours and tell someone else to do.
The statement of account will be released to show sum received every day on NGA Twitter page. This fee is to cover legal fees and compensate these two who have been relentless in standing up for the last shred of common sense in this Profession.
