Only for the Frustrated but ready to act
As you are well aware, Nigeria is going through the “people’s power”. A process that has been foreseen for many years but met the neglect of those in power to act! What does this tell us? For growth to happen, people need to wake up.
READ THIS: FULL REPORT OF VICTIMISED NURSE BY THE INSTITUTION’S LEAD NURSES AND MANAGEMENT OF OOUTH
I would like to borrow one line from a colleague- Leadership is many things if not everything. Only a direct beneficiary of our corrupt association would believe in the situation of things as per leadership in Nursing today. Ladies and gentlemen, we have all seen the FHI budget and many of the shameful things that have been going on in our Profession at every level. What can we say in terms of Achievements when we mention Nursing Practice, Administration, Research, and education? Nothing sensible.
Should we continue to complain?
No, we have done that for many years and they have been used to it. Recently, we saw a hospital where members have been agrieved enough to pull away from NANNM. This is the future of Revolution for our dear profession.
Today, we have people whose kids and self are no longer nurses but users of license determined to rob the future of young nurses who are passionate about the profession. We have leaders whose *silence are deafening*.
What can we do?
We are collecting a group of *financial* and non-member of NANNM to kick start the Revolution phase in the history of this profession. Our goals are simple, you can read below.
The first phase is to prepare for the loudest conference to solidify our interests.
To join and prepare for this Revolution, we need only
– 1 representative from all government healthcare institutions (nannm unit) in Nigeria.
– 2 private hospital workers in each state of Nigeria.
-1 university lecturer (people excluded from nannm) for each nursing department.
-Stakeholders with reputation
