NANNM is impressed by the effort of PHIMA (and other agencies/organisations) in fighting quackery and improving standard of practice and services in the state. Essentially, the association is committed to improving the standard and quality of healthcare delivery to meet the yearnings and demands of the citizens. The association’s support, cooperation and willingness to collaborate with all the organisations that are mandated to carry out and discharge this duty/responsibility is assured.

Therefore, NANNM has unreservedly commended PHIMA and associates for the recent arrests of QUACK health care workers in the state including Doctors and an Auxillary-Nurse. The position of the association in the light of the recent arrest of an Auxiliary Nurse is; no qualified and registered Nurse by Nursing and Midwifery council of Nigeria standards is referred to as such.
Therefore that person is a QUACK by all standards and means. Any by extension any illegal and unlawful practice is not supported and will never be cordoned by the Association.
